It’s been a long time coming for UH West Oahu. The new campus has 220 freshmen registered, and more than 2,000 transfer students from the Pearl City campus.
Here’s the announcement from UH West Oahu:
The public is invited to attend the grand opening of the new University of Hawai’i West O’ahu Campus in Kapolei, Saturday, Aug. 18.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be free entertainment, food trucks and family activities to showcase the latest in 21st Century higher education.
After dignitaries untie the traditional maile in a ceremony at 10 a.m., UH West O‘ahu will throw its doors open to the public at 11 a.m. so that the community can learn first hand about the campus.
