Lingle TV: Campaign Launches Cable Channel
Capitol Watch reports:
Oceanic Time Warner Cable digital cable channel 110 will be displayed as “LL2012” in the channel guide, “the first time in U.S. campaign history that a political candidate will utilize a dedicated cable channel to interact with voters.”
Press release from the Linda Lingle camp:
The exclusive digital channel will provide the people of Hawaii with timely information about Governor Lingle’s positions on important issues affecting Hawaii and the nation, as well as a library of video messages, interactive polling opportunities and live coverage of key events on the campaign trail. …
“Because I care deeply about all the people of Hawaii and am running for the U.S. Senate to make life better for the people of our state, my campaign is committed to finding new ways to keep people connected. By employing all accessible media platforms, we are putting ‘people first’ by meeting voters where they are. In many cases, that means their living rooms, through their home television. By utilizing this new, engaging and interactive digital cable channel, my campaign will be able to further the important dialogue and information sharing to complement many of our traditional grassroots campaign activities,” said Governor Lingle.
