DING DONG! Hawaii’s Internet Tracking Bill Is Dead

Good news Internet privacy advocates: the State of Hawaii will NOT be tracking every website you visit.
Rep. John Mizuno, who introduced HB2288, the now-infamous Internet tracking bill, just announced that he’s officially killed the measure:
I have been aware of the incredible national attention this measure has caused, and after reviewing the thousands of emails and hundreds of phone messages, along with the various news stories, I believe it would be in the best interest of all parties that we kill this bill for 2012.
